CONTINUE THE HUNT
My favorite YA Villain ever is Sebastian from Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments
My favorite YA villain is Amarantha from Sarah J Maas’ A Court of Thorns and Roses.. because she’s totally scary.*cringe*
My favourite villain is either The Darkling from Leigh Bardugo’s Shadow and Bone trilogy or AIDAN from the Illuminae trilogy!!
So, I wrote this on another authors blog earlier today, and I probably did it more elequently because I had just started and now I’m tired, but my favorite villains are the “villains” in Powerless duology by Tera Lynn Childs. Because they’re teens and they’re rebellious and not perfect cut outs (shoutout to the dogooder nerd whose the only “hero” in the friend group I hated in book one but thought was absolutely adorable with his “villain” boyfriend and hoenstly I wish she’d write a third book…..about them. HINT HINT TERA LYNN CHILDS WHEREEVER YOU ARE OUT THERE.) ANYWAY. They’re my favorite because a) they’re not actually bad and b) it realy makes you think why is “bad” bad and “good” good. Because they have markings marking them as “villain” or “hero” but the ACTUAL villain of the story is marked as a “hero” and it makes you wonder if we become the labels we are given or maybe the marks didn’t stand for anything and the villain or someone twisted MADE them have meaning, and being a villain decided to make their mark mean “good guy” so they could stomp on everyone. So my favorite “villains” are the friend group in that book because it makes you question what does it mean to be bad or good, or to label someone bad or good.
Congratulations, you’ve won an e-copy of UNTAMED. I’ll be emailing you shortly.
Warner in the first Shatter Me book since he seemed so evil but then later in the series his real motivations are revealed and I love him! It just makes you think what makes someone bad and is it just perspective?
I just finished Vengeful by V.E. Schwab, so I’d have to say right now my favorite villain is Eli Ever.
I just finished reading Vengeful by V.E. Schwab, so I’d have to say my favorite villain right now is Eli Ever.
I saw someone has the same answer as me 🙂 I would choose the Darkling. I liked the guy, he was evil but there was just something about him.
Sebastian from Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments. He’s really creepy.
My favorite is Jeanine from Divergent. She did evil things, but she had logical reasons for her actions.
Congratulations, you’ve won an e-copy of UNTAMED. I’ll be emailing you shortly.
My favorite villain is Queen Maeve in the Throne of Glass series because she is completely evil which makes a perfect villain.
I LOVE a villain! Right now my favorite is either Warner (Shatter Me) or the Darkling (Grisha). It’s so hard to choose!
My favorite YA Villain ever is Sebastian from Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments
My favorite YA villain is Maeve from the Throne of Glass series because she has a great backstory and is completely unpredictable.
My favorite YA villain is the Darkling from the Shadow and Bone trilogy. Thanksl.
My favorite is the Darkling from Shadow and Bone. Thanks.
I don’t know that I have just one favorite villain… but I do love Queen Levana from the Lunar Chronicles
High on my list is Queen Levana from the Lunar Chronicles. (sorry if I posted twice. my laptop is being difficult)
One of my current fav YA villains is ADIAN from Illuminae. Because is he really a villain or a confused computer. If he was human rather than machine would he have made the decisions he did. I loved it.
Congratulations, you’ve won an e-copy of UNTAMED. I’ll be emailing you shortly.
Hmmm that’s a good question…
I like a villain that is clever but also one that you can feel for.
Since I can’t come up with any better right now, I’m gonna say Draco Malfoy. You could really understand and feel for him, even when he made you angry.
The fact that I have actually seen people reference Shatter Me and Powerless and The Grisha Trilogy makes me really happy, especially since I am a huge Leigh Bardugo and Six of Crows fan. For me, off the top of my head, I would have to say either the Darkling or the character Lillian from Trial by Fire (the Worldwalker Trilogy). I feel like it really explores how every single person can be either the villain or hero of their own story.
My favorites are the different varieties of villians in the Mercy Thompson series. Thank you for this opportunity 🙂
I quite liked Amarantha from the A Court of Thorns and Roses series. She was absolutely terrifying and truly evil, and it’s been a while since I’ve read a truly evil villain.
Adelina from The Young Elites. Heroine to villian.
Everyone has good answers! Sebastian from TMI, the Darkling from S&B, and Amarantha from ACOTAR are all really great villains from some of my favorite books. I would have to say that the best villain, though, is Queen Maeve from Throne of Glass. She is one of the most interesting, cunning, and evil villains ever. She’s like the Evil Queen of books. Thanks for the giveaway!
Congratulations, you’ve won an e-copy of UNTAMED. I’ll be emailing you shortly.
SPOILER: My all-time favourite YA villain is Rixon from the Hush, Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick. I never saw it coming! I laughed… thanks!!
Oh, man. I’ve never been the type to like villains. The only villains I *do* like are from TV shows… Someone else did mention AIDAN, who is kind of a pseudo-villain, I suppose, and I do like him. 🙂
Lots of awesome YA villains!! Lots of favorites… I think I’ll go with Thiago from the Daughter of Smoke & Bone series.
I don’t really have a favorite
Queen Levana from the Lunar Chronicles
I love Rixon from the Hush, Hush series. It was so unexpected!
My all-time favourite villain is Rixon from Hush, Hush. It was such a surprise!
My favorite YA villain is the red queen from A.G. Howard’s Splintered Series. While the characters faced a lot of evil, the red queen was always my favorite because she was what connected Alyssa to the netherworld.
