I’ve been a little quiet… because I wrote 56k words in two weeks.

If you’ve been following me on social media, or my blog, recently then you may have noticed that I haven’t been as active as I normally am. Well, okay, November is NaNoWriMo, so I’m always a little more quiet during this time of year than usual, but so much stuff has been going on.

So, yes, I did take part in NaNoWriMo–though due to uni work and other writing commitments, I didn’t get to start until 15th November. And did I still manage to write 50K? You bet I did!

On November 28th, I reached the 50K goal.

And by the end of November, I’d added another 6,000 words to my word count, bringing my total for November to 56K.

I’m very pleased with this word count, given that November has been a hugely challenging and busy month for me. I’m currently in my last year of uni, and am coming to the end of the penultimate semester. That meant lots of assignments, research, and dissertation panic! In the end, I dedicated the first half of the month to uni work, and the latter half to my writing–as you can see from my word count graph above.

So, I wrote 56k in November–but what were these words for?

Well, these words were spread between final edits for FRAGMENTED (Untamed book 2)–yes, I changed some massive things at the last minute, right before sending the manuscript off to my publisher–and the start of a rough draft for the third book in the Untamed Series (title to be announced soon). I’m just so excited by these books, and can’t wait for you to be able to read them all too! If you haven’t already read UNTAMED (book 1) then head over here.

Did you take part in NaNoWriMo too? I’d love to hear how you got on, so please leave a comment!
