Hi folks!

The first thing to announce is this: on Friday 20th May, I’m having a FB party to celebrate Untamed‘s one year anniversary–yes, I can’t believe my book has already been out in the world for a whole year!

This FB party is open to all, and I’d love for you to come along!

The details:

Join us this Friday (20th May) to celebrate the first birthday of my dystopian novel, UNTAMED. This anniversary bash will run throughout Friday 20th May and into Saturday 21st May, and anyone can join in the fun.
To take part in this party, you don’t need to have yet read this book, but there will be a few quizzes and games about UNTAMED, as well as a photo competition–so grab a copy (paperback or ebook) and get your ‘dramatic location’ snaps of UNTAMED ready (can include pets)!
I’m pleased to confirm that the following YA authors will also be guest-hosting discussions, Q&A sessions, and giveaways during Friday’s party: Catrina Burgess, Pintip Dunn, Julia Ember, K.T. Hanna, Marissa Kennerson, T.A. Maclagan, Lyn Miller-Lachmann, E.L. Mitchell, K.S. Trenten, and Stacey Trombley. Most of these authors will be checking into the event multiple times throughout the party, with their discussions/Q&A sessions being ongoing events that can be joined at any time, so look out for their posts! (These authors will also each specify the countries that their giveaways are open to.)
Additionally, we have the following time-specific events, (the following times are in GMT/UTC+00:00/UK time, though this party is open to anyone, world-wide!)…
Friday 20th May:
6pm – Julia Ember will be hosting Books Against Humanity.
7pm – K.S. Trenten will be hosting a discussion about fairytales in YA Literature.
Saturday 21st May:
0.30am – E.L. Mitchell will be hosting a discussion about how photographs provide inspiration for writing.

Q&A sessions will also be ongoing. If you have a question about writing/publishing/YA books/UNTAMED, then please comment below, or post it to this page during the party (Friday or Saturday).
Winners of all the giveaways will be announced on Sunday 22nd May.
Hope you enjoy it!

Secondly, I’m delighted to share that Untamed has been included on BookBub’s list of teen dystopian novels that adults will enjoy!

I’m so honoured to be included on this list with authors such as Veronica Rossi, Lauren Oliver, Ally Condie, Kiera Cass, and Michael Grant!

Check out the list here.

And seeing as we’re talking about Untamed… well, let’s talk about the sequel.

As I’m sure you know, Fragmented is set to hit shelves on 7th September 2016.

I’ve recently been discussing the cover art for this book with my publisher and I am so excited. I can’t share the cover yet, (I hope to be able to really soon!) but I can share these promo images….

See that first image? This is the first time that image has been shown to anyone!

Plus, there may be an excerpt from Fragmented going up soon…

In other writing news, I’ve just finished the first draft of a new YA fantasy manuscript; 64,000 words in 28 days! As in-house edits for Fragmented (release date: 7th September, 2016) are about to begin, I’ll be leaving this new manuscript for a few months, before going back to it and doing some major rewrites. My first drafts always tend to be sooooo messy and resemble a patchwork of-sorts. But I’m so excited about this idea, and can’t wait to get this manuscript in shape!

That’s it for now, and please do join me at the FB party on Friday–there’ll be plenty of games and giveaway!
