Short Stories Update- 23rd June 2011

Ok, so today I’ve been doing a lot of writing and editing, mainly looking at my short stories. I’ve also written another short story (its word count is approx. 800 words) and have submitted it for publication. Fingers crossed.

I’m also waiting for the publication dates to arrive for two short stories that I’ve recently had acceptances for, both at Yesteryear Fiction.
The Photograph – July 1st 2011
The Eight Thousand And Third Day – July 13th 2011

And once more I believe that ‘The Eight Thousand And Third Day’ will be on Yesteryear Fiction’s homepage for a week, according to the new update at the site, rather than the day’s homepage exposure ‘The Photograph’ will have. Of course both stories will hopefully be archived at the site for a long, long time.

Keep taking a look at my fiction page – I’ll update them with links to new stories when they’re published.

I’ve also recently recieved the news that I will be featured as a Weekly Artist on September 19th 2011 at weeklyartist.com. Brilliant!

Recently I’ve been doing a lot of short story writing in a sort of dramatic monolouge style. I really enjoy writing them and they also end up to be a lot shorter (under a thousand words) than my other stories. These ‘dramatic monolouge’ stories are written in first person; in each I’ve tried to tell a story through a character’s strong thoughts and emotions.

Well, I was just browsing the site for Shimmer Magazine (a print magazine) and found that they have issue ten available as a free PDF download, so here’s the link.
