What Have I Been Working On? Writing Update – July 2016

So, I realised it’s been quite a while since I’ve done a general writing update for you on my blog. But that’s because I’ve been kind of busy…

My second novel, Fragmented, is due to hit shelves in 45 days (eeeeeeeek!), and it’s just gone up for pre-order via my publisher’s websites, Prizm Books (for US readers) and Torquere Press (for international readers). Also, the discount code ‘preorder15’ will save you 15% on those pre-orders.

Plus, there’s a pre-order campaign running too. Here’s the info below:

FRAGMENTEDhits shelves September 7!-2

Aside from making sure that the pre-order campaign runs smoothly, I’ve also been writing so many guest posts about Fragmented. The first one is set to go live tomorrow on author Annabelle Jay’s blog, as part of her fashion series “Who Are You Wearing?”. And that post has a few short excerpts from Fragmented in it!

Another of my guest posts will be going live on author Jaclyn Dolamore’s blog any day now… this post is all about the Enhanced Ones, the group of antagonists, led by Raleigh, who appear in both Untamed and Fragmented.

And did I mention just how excited about Fragmented I am?! If not, then the answer is: I am soooo excited! When I was writing the guest post for Annabelle Jay’s blog all about Fragmented, and I had to choose a couple of short excerpts from this book for it, I found myself re-reading several parts of the manuscript just for fun. And my favourite ever scene is in this book. I may have read that one at least twice. Now, I have all the feels and want to dive back into my work on the third Untamed book…

But, I have a couple of manuscripts to finish before it’s time to resume work on Untamed #3.

Since April 2016, I’ve drafted two new manuscripts (a standalone fantasy that’s 60,000 words and a top secret dystopian that’s 92,000 words–seriously, I want to tell you everything about that secret dystopian but I can’t yet… soon, I promise!). I’m also 25,000 words into a YA thriller that I’ve been working on like crazy in the last couple of days.

So, before I resume my work on the third Untamed book (I’ve got about 40,000 words for it), I need to revise my 60k standalone fantasy, get my top secret dystopian manuscript ready for my amazing beta-readers, and I need to finish my YA thriller. Kind of a lot of work, right?

And all that while getting ready for the launch of Fragmented!
