My Writing Schedule
Like most writers, I try to write every day. But due to other commitments, this isn’t always possible. Instead, I have allocated ‘extra’ times when I have to write. And these are those times:
Monday – About 7.30-8am, I’ll be planning some plot twists. I then try to write them down and exband on them in note form from 8-8.30am. I also aim to write about 500 words (at least!) in the evening.
Tuesday – much the same as monday.
Wednesday – Ah, wednseday morning. About a thousand or so words. But usually less.
Thursday – Thursday evenings I’ll either do some editing or redrafting of chapters.
Friday – In the afternoons I tend to get home early, and use this time to write blog posts, post intervews to my website, do some planning, and writing! Typically, I’ll either do some editing of a previously written chapter, or write something new. So, about a chapter’s worth of writing–4-5k words.
Saturday – Saturday mornings (about 8-9am) are for writing… Although, this is the hardest time-slot to keep. I aim to do 4-5 thousand words.
Sunday – During these afternoons I love to curl up with either a book or my notepad, and jot down stuff. Sometimes I’ll research mythology too, or do some lazy editing. Then I’ll so some serious writing (4-5k words) before getting an early night.
