Cover Reveal for A Dangerous Game

A Dangerous Game has a new cover!

This is because I’ve been working on a sequel to ADG, and so we’re rebranding ADG as book one in a new series, rather than a standalone. (And, yes, it’s still set in the same world as my Untamed series!) For more info about this, check out my last blog post.

And now let’s look at the gorgeous new cover designed by Molly Phipps at We Got You Covered Book Design!

 

This cover matches the tone of the book a lot more than the previous one, which was more geared to the romance in the storyline–but A Dangerous Game isn’t strictly speaking a romance. It’s dark dystopian about mental health, identity, and lust, that just happens to have a strong romantic element (and for this reason, it’s marketed more as ‘new adult’ rather than ‘young adult’). Of course, the cover does still scream romance, but crucially it hints at the darkness too via the dripping skull. And we’ve also got the mountains too, which I love, as much of the action takes place near an Untamed community in the mountains.

I am so excited by the rebranding–not to mention I’m working on the sequel right now–and retailers are currently in the process of switching to the new versions, both for the cover and the interior, which has brand new formatting! Isn’t it gorgeous?

So over the next week or so you may notice the old cover still on some sites and there will be some of the old paperbacks around too. But the important thing is it’s just the design element that is different. The actual story is identical.
