May 2019 Writing Update (UNTAMED listed in Wiki Ezvid’s 10 Most Intense Dystopian Novels for YA Readers)

So, a fair bit of news to share with you this month!

Wiki Ezvid revealed their 10 most intense Dystopian novels for YA readers today, and I am so happy that Untamed has been included!

A preview of the Wiki Ezvid article, shared from my Instagram account @MadelineDyerUK.

It was such a lovely thing to discover. I was on the bus on my way back from meeting a friend (and the obligatory trip to Waterstones where I’d just grabbed copies of Internment, Fated, The Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, and The Truth About Keeping Secrets), when I checked my phone and found that Wiki Ezvid had emailed me to say one of my  books was in their new list!

The article at Wiki Ezvid isn’t just about current dystopian fiction. It gives a great introduction to the genre, and it was an interesting read.

I’m still just getting used to companies and websites emailing me to say that I/my books have been featured in their list as this follows the recent post that The Mighty did about public figures who live with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Before I checked my email and found they’d emailed me to say I was included in their list, I’d actually stumbled upon a link to the article itself via Facebook, and was flabbergasted to scroll down and find that I was one of the public figures mentioned!

And in writing news, I’m currently working on the first draft of This Vicious Way (The Dangerous Ones #2), having finished edits on my new thriller, which I am so excited about! I’m a little behind with where I wanted to be at this stage with TVW, as yesterday I replotted the entire thing, which meant scrapping about 20,000 words. But I’ve worked out what wasn’t working with what I’d written up until then, so I feel confident going forward, and I can’t wait to work on this book tomorrow!
