She lives in Virginia with her college-sweetheart husband, two rambunctious sons, and two rowdy but lovable rescue dogs. GIVEAWAY

I’m giving away 5 ebook copies of my latest release, A Dangerous Game. This is a standalone tale of identity, mental health, and lust, set in the same perilous world as my dystopian Untamed series.

About A Dangerous Game:

From the author of the Untamed series comes a thrilling and addictive dystopian romance tale set in the same perilous world. A Dangerous Game is a gripping read for seasoned Untamed fans and a perfect starting point for readers new to Madeline Dyer’s Untamed world.

What wouldn’t you do for love?

All her life, adrenaline-junkie Keelie Lin-Sykes has known what she wants: to protect her brother and sisters by killing as many of the soulless Enhanced Ones as she can. Oh, and to have fun while she’s doing it. After all, hiding in a secret Untamed community, while the group’s Seer warns them of danger, shouldn’t mean that life can only be serious, right?

But, when a face from her past suddenly–and secretly–shows up, Keelie’s catapulted back into the very world she’s been trying to escape from for the last ten years: a game full of guilt, lies, and…love. And the deeper Keelie gets, the bigger the risks become.

Now, Keelie must deceive those she values most in order to protect them, even though her actions will destroy everything she knows and haunt her family forever. But she can’t ignore her feelings–not again. And Keelie will do anything to be with the man she loves.

A dystopian Romeo and Juliet, perfect for fans of Suzanne Collins, Moira Young, and Veronica Roth.

To enter, leave a comment below and tell me who your favorite dystopian hero/heroine is and why.
On April 9th, I’ll pick out five winners at random who’ll each receive an ebook copy of A Dangerous Game.

  • Christina in Divergent. The books NOT the movies. Why? Christina has actual feelings when Tris seems empty like a shell. AND she says things that can get her in trouble but still with confidence.

“Yeah, sometimes life really sucks. But you know what I’m holding on for? The moments that don’t suck. The trick is to notice them when they come around.”
    — Christina to Tobias

  • My favorite dystopian heroine is Mac from the Fever series as she never gives up and isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty.

  • Tris aka Beatrice Prior from the Divergent series. I love how she won’t back down and take no for an answer. She’s courageous and does strive to do what she believes in.

  • It has been a while since I’ve read dystopian books it I think I’ll go with the characters from the hunger games. I remember reading them 7 years ago and really getting attached to these characters, I think it was the first Dystopian books that I had read.

  • My favourite dystopian heroine is Penryn from the End of Days series. She is fiercely independent, strong and attentive. She is imperfect and makes mistakes but she realizes her mistakes.

  • I’m going with Peeta from The Hunger Games. I love Katniss too, but Peeta always holds a special place 🙂 I don’t know why…I just love him, lol

  • I have two favorite heroines because I like what both of the characters stand for. Tally Youngblood from the Uglies series and Mare Barrow from the Red Queen series. They are complete opposites from each other, but each have a spark inside them to fight and stand up for what they believe in, even if it means betraying those closest to them or rising against a corrupt government.

  • My favourite (on short notice because there are literally so many good ones) might be Tally from the Uglies quartet. Just because I love how the series as a whole really makes you think about how much of yourself is a result of your society and how much is truly yours.

  • wade watts from ready player one! love his intellect and ability to pass those obstacles. plus his infiltration into IOI was stellar.

  • Katniss from The Hunger Games will always be one of my very favorite heroines, as that series is what got me into reading dystopia. I love how snarky she is, but also how seriously she takes things that affect her family/close friends.

  • MONICA RAMONA RODRIGUEZ

I think one of my all time favs is Katniss from the Hunger Games trilogy. She she selfless, family oriented, strong, independent, and intelligent. She is definitely a role model for teens. Thanks for participating in the hunt and the chance at winning some cool prizes 😁😁

  • Currently my favourite dystopian hero is Ella from Gemina. Just finished reading it and that thirteen-year-old in a wheel chair? BEST. CHARACTER. EVER. (well maybe not EVER, but I *REALLY* like her and it’s what’s sticking most in my mind atm as a result ;D)

…Granted she’s not the “main” heroine, but she was integral to *spoilers* so I’m sticking with it!

  • I love Four from the Divergent series. He has such a great storyline and I love how he grows throughout the story. Didn’t like anything else other than him.

  • My favorite dystopian character is Tally from the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld. (It makes me happy to see others have listed her). This series really struck home with me and started a love of dystopian stories. To be honest, I can’t say why. It’s just one of those things that just grabs you and won’t let go, you know? I even named a fish Westerfeld. 😛

  • My favourite heroine of dystopia RIGHT NOW (it changes with every book I read, lol), is Tess from Anyone? by Angela Scott. It’s a hardcore indie book, but I’m so happy I discovered it, because I love Tess, she’s funny and witty and tough too, plus, she decides at the last minute to rescue her tiny kitten and take it to the shelter with her, and after emerging to find the world wrecked, she decides Callie will be her apocalypse buddy. (Since I walk my cat on a leash and take him literally everywhere with me, that made me so happy). I highly recommend Anyone? It’s awesome, and so it Tess.

Oh, and thanks for participating in YASH!

  • The Hunger Games series was my first experience with the dystopian genre so I’ll have to go with characters from there. While the main heroine/heroes are great and I like them Katniss, Peeta and Gale I have to pick Rue, Prim and Joanna because they’re heroines in their own ways and I really do like them best.

  • Katniss from the Hunger Games. I loved her selflessness and her determination to right wrongs and make the world a better place.

  • Harry Robert Brake

The Blade Runner is a dystopian novel always in my mind, and is a classic. The Divergent series because I simply love Shailene Woodley 🙂 The Hunger Games is pretty amazing as well, but couldn’t even Narnia considered Dystopian in some aspects (which I love!).
